Ted Youmans will share his heart to restore generational lines through adoption, as he is both an adoption litigator and fost/adopt parent himself.  

Ted started practicing law in 1987 and immediately joined the firm of the leading adoption litigator in California. After being mentored by him for 6 years Ted and another partner took over the firm.  In the first 22 years of his practice, Ted and that firm had over 25 published/ precedent cases regarding adoption, foster care and guardianship law. Additionally, they wrote comprehensive legislation to reform California Adoption Law. In addition to litigation, the firm was very active in adoption placements as well as the first litigated cases in Surrogacy Law, which precedents paved the way for today's current ART law.

Ted married Sheryl in 1989 and have 6 children together including an adopted daughter who was orphaned by the premature death of her parents. That daughter is an integral part of Familybuilding today. Ted and Sheryl have fostered and provided a home for several other children and young adults.

Ted founded Familybuilding, a professional Law Corporation in 2008 and has added several other attorneys to the firm. Familybuilding's goal is to restore generational lines through adoption. They are constantly working on best practices and strategy to bring restorative justice to not only the adoptive parents, the children who benefit from adoption, but the birth parents and other extended family members!

Dinner will be served to adults.

Pizza and childcare will be provided for children ages 0-12. 

Pizza and games will be provided for teens.
